Movement Podcast Season 2 Ep 14

Play, practice or train? Simple concepts we all understand, but what are their differences and when should you be doing each one? On this episode, we break that down.

This idea is based on an article, Gray wrote, titled Play, Practice, or Train-Which Comes When? (Find article HERE). Although originally written in 2013 the concept still rings true today.

First, we cover the basics, and Gray uses his kettlebell journey with Brett Jones as an example.
We talk cartwheels, tennis, South American football drills, martial arts, and how this topic applies to youth sports. Gray and Lee also give us an idea of what play looks like at their house. For the pros, we get into coaching strategies, working around people’s limitations, and small group fitness options.
